As you all know, Essence released a bunch of new products for Fall & Winter recently, which I've been reviewing here and there on my blog. One of those newer items is this Get Picture Ready Brightening Concealer, which reminded me an awful lot of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. I used to be a massive fan of the Maybelline one, which isn't cruelty free so I was really excited to see if this was a cruelty free dupe!
The packaging of the picture ready concealer looks really fun and playful. The product comes in a little squeeze tube and has a white to pink gradient effect. I like how it also has a small transparant part, this makes it easy to see the actual shade. This concealer has a little sponge applicator, again very similar to the Maybelline one. The only difference is that this sponge is a lot more dense and less fluffy than the Maybelline applicator. Also, these sponge applicators aren't the most hygienic, but I guess you could clean it from time to time.

The high-coverage texture with light-reflecting pigments makes dark shadows under the eyes disappear – for instantly flawless results! Easy to apply thanks to the ball-shaped sponge applicator.
I'm not the biggest fan of this applicator. It's too stiff which makes it a little bit difficult to apply the actual product on my under-eye area. I just get a small line of product underneath my eyes, instead of the product spreading out nicely. To blend this concealer into my skin, I use a damp beauty blender, which is my favorite way of blending out concealer.
Ivory has a subtle yellow undertone and is perfect for people with fair to light skin-tones, even medium-tones if you like a bright under-eye area.
The formula of this concealer is quite thick, but it feels very creamy at the same time. The coverage is rather natural, but you can build it up a little bit if you want. It has a natural and matte finish and doesn't crease in my fine lines all too much when I set it with a powder. There's a little bit of creasing, but I have that problem with all of my concealers since I have a lot of fine lines and wrinkles underneath my eyes. Since my under-eye area is quite dark, I tend to use a color corrector with this concealer, since it doesn't have enough coverage to hide my dark circles. I also don't think you could hide any pimples or blemishes using this concealer. When I use my beauty blender, it does blend out very easily.
AQUA (WATER), CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, GLYCERIN, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, HYDROGENATED POLYDECENE, METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE, HEXYL LAURATE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 ISOSTEARATE, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), MAGNESIUM SULFATE, MICA, PANTHENOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, RETINYL PALMITATE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, LAURYL PEG/PPG-18/18 METHICONE, SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE, VP/HEXADECENE COPOLYMER, DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, ALUMINA, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 77163 (BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE), CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
For me personally, the coverage is just a little bit too light, but when I build it up or pair it with a color corrector I'm good to go! Since the finish is quite natural, this concealer does look really good on the under-eye area. It doesn't look dry or cakey and it blends into the skin easily. If you like a heavy duty, full coverage concealer, then this is not the one for you. But if you prefer a more natural looking concealer that has light to light-medium coverage, I would highly recommend this concealer!
