Too Faced Melted Peony

I have found a new obsession when it comes to lips: liquid lipsticks. Lately I've been loving a gorgeous (semi-)matte finish on the lips and liquid lipsticks are perfect for accomplishing that. The Melted lipsticks by Too Faced have been on my radar for so long now, so I couldn't help myself and purchased my very first Melted lipstick a few weeks ago. If you're as curious as I was about this beautiful product, keep on reading!

The packaging of these liquid lipsticks was the first thing that really caught my attention. I have to be honest, if the packaging wasn't so damn cute, I would've probably never tried this out. That's the power of packaging, it can suck you in like no other. The melted lipsticks come in a squeezy tube type packaging with some pretty gold accents and a very beautiful design. The tube comes with an angled velvet tip that makes applying this lipstick super easy and effortless. The only downside of this applicator is that it gets dirty really fast and you can't really clean it.

The Too Faced melted lipstick range started off with 10 available shades but recently they added 8 more gorgeous shades so now there are 18 shades to choose from. The colors range from some pretty neutrals to some more intense purples and plums.

Melted Peony is a light-medium dusty rose with a warm undertone. The color pay-off is really nice and it goes on very intensely. The formula is creamy and easy to apply. It dries into a semi-matte, satin finish that stays on the lips for about 4-5 hours. I expected this to dry a little bit more matte, but instead it has a semi-matte finish that doesn't dry my lips out at all, which is always nice.

This melted lipstick does tend to get a little tacky on those dry patches on your lips, so I would recommend scrubbing your lips and applying a lip balm before wearing this lipstick. Another little tip is to start off with one thin layer, let that dry for a few minutes and then apply a second one. This way the color will be more intense and it will last a lot longer on your lips.

Apparently there are 8 little wholes in the applicator, which makes it very easy to squeeze out some of the product and apply it to the lips.

Melted Peony is such a pretty light pink shade, very girly and so me! I love the formula, the color and above all the packaging is stunning. Melted Nude is also a shade from this range that is on my radar and I'm sure it won't be long until I order that one too. The Too Faced melted liquified long wear lipsticks are available at Too Faced counters and online for €19,60 each (12ml).
