Nars Virtual Domination Cheek Palette

34

I have been a fan of Nars makeup for quite some time now. I love their blushes and eyeshadows, but I don't really like their boring black packaging. For some, their simple packaging is perfect, I just prefer packaging that's more fun and different. So when I saw their new Virtual Domination palette, I was sold right away.

The Virtual Domination palette comes in a sturdy white case, with a really cool patterned overlay. There's a large mirror inside, along with 3 blush shades, a highlighter and a bronzer. This palette feels quite heavy, and I love how it doesn't come with those useless little brushes.

The size of the powders is so nice, you get 4 times 4,5g, and a bronzer of 10g, which is amazing if you ask me!

The highlighter in this palette is called Miss Liberty (permanent shade) and it's a beige shimmering peach shade. I didn't really like the fact that there are actual chunks of glitter in this highlight, and on me, it didn't really look that great.

The 3 blushes in this palette are called: Sex Fantasy (limited edition shade), Deep Throat (permanent shade) and Final Cut (limited edition shade). Both the limited edition shades are matte, and their quality is nice. These blushes are pigmented, but not too much, which is just what I like.

The bronzer in this palette is called Laguna, which is Nars' most famous bronzer. It has subtle shimmer in it that transforms into a beautiful dewiness onto the skin.

Aside from the highlight I didn't really like, this palette is perfect. You get 3 beautiful blush shades, a full-size bronzer and a highlight in one small and compact palette. The Virtual Domination cheek palette by Nars is limited edition, yet you can still get your hands on it on Sephora.com for $65 (28g). I know it's quite the splurge, but considering it has a value of $151, it's actually worth checking out!
