I’m back! I was so busy with my finals and after they
were done I left immediately on vacation to Italy, but now I’m back and I have
lots of fun posts planned. Starting off, I bought this Resort set from Essie a
while ago. Essie comes out with these Resort or Cruise collections once or twice
a year, in between their other collections. It’s a transition between winter
and summer and loved the colors from this year’s resort collection so I bought
the mini-set. The Resort 2014 collection comes with 4 different shades: Resort
Fling, Cocktails & Coconuts, Under The Twilight and Find Me An Oasis.
sought-after. she's going places. specifically: to the beach. introducing the
resort collection for it-girls everywhere: four irresistibly fun shades perfect
for a stylish trip to paradise.”
I think these mini’s are perfect. The most ideal size
to travel with (5ml) and by buying the mini’s you can easily try out a whole
collection. Also, I have never used up a nail polish ever in my life and I don't think I ever will so I don’t mind that they’re
smaller. The only downside for me is that the brushes are also mini and small.
So they are not really the easiest to apply.
Resort Fling is one of my fave from this collection.
It’s a peachy coral shade. It’s not really a pastel, nor is it a neon. I just
love it, it’s the perfect in between, almost muted I would say.
Cocktails & Coconuts is a sandy shade with a
subtle hint of glitter. It’s very casual and wearable to any occasion.
Under The Twilight is a very dark purple. It changes a
little depending on how the light falls on your nails. Sometimes it can look
super dark, almost black and sometimes it looks purple. It’s perfect for those
summer parties, or to wear to a nice dinner. BTW: not the best nail polish swatch ever, I know!
Find Me An Oasis is a light bleu, almost white. It’s
perfect for the summer time and it reminds me of white beaches and the ocean.
I got my set on Beautybay.com for €14,10 here. I truly
enjoyed wearing each of these shades, there’s a variety of colors and I would
definitely recommend it :)
