Hi loves! Nars' blushes are the primary reason why I fell in love with this brand, so I knew I didn't have to hesitate for even a second to order the most beautiful blush from this collection. The Nars x Guy Bourdin Color collection is an ode to the French photographer who inspired François Nars to become a makeup artist. There's enough goodies to choose from as this collection contains nail polishes, lipsticks, eyeshadows and blushes in daring and bold colors. And of course, I picked up the most natural item from this collection ;)
I think it's a bummer that they didn't do anything special with the packaging, considering this blush is part of a limited edition collection. If I throw away the box (which I always do) then how can anyone, or even myself, see that this was part of Nars' Guy Bourdin collection? I mean, normally that's the fun part about a special collection, the packaging.
Day Dream is a light to medium peachy pink with a satin finish. It has a shimmer that's barely noticeable, I had to look really close because at first I thought it had a matte finish. Unlike most blushes from Nars, it's not overly pigmented. It's a very natural looking blush, but still, you can easily go overboard with Day Dream. So use a light hand and add a couple of layers if necessary. This blush lasts all day and it doesn't fade away around the edges. Day Dream is so incredibly stunning and it's right up my alley!
Swatch of Nars' Day Dream
Despite the fact that they could've made an effort packaging wise, I think the blush itself is absolutely stunning (and that's still the most important thing, right?). If you're unfamiliar with Nars' blushes and you're interested in getting one, I would definitely try Day Dream since it is a bit more natural and there's not an overload of pigmentation. This beauty will cost you €30 (4,8g) and you get it online here.
